It is called a TALL Spindle because the upper ball joint is raised 1-1/2”. Different from the factory design, it yields a better camber change during suspension movement.
Pivot points are determined by the ball joints on the spindles and bushing locations on the frame, not the control arms. These spindles are STEEL, the strongest ones in the industry. Can not use drum brakes.

 This triangulated rear 4-link kit for the Tri-5 Chevy is a great upgrade to your shoebox. Heidt's designed this kit to allow a lower stance than other 4-link kits on the market. Bars are fully adjustable allowing you to dial in your pinion angle. Bars are made from heavy 1-1/4" od x .156 wall tubing, and use 3/4" stainless steel adjusters with urethane bushings. This kit will work on stock or aftermarket chassis's. Front crossmember is notched for exhaust, and will accomodate up to 3" diameter tubing. Kit includes chassis and axle brackets, adjustable links, full upper and lower crossmembers, Heidt's adjustable coilovers, and all hardware.
